This past year was an exciting year for AVEC. Media coverage was extensive, and included:

• Several newspaper articles featured in Neighbor Newspapers, Lifestyle section and in Creative Loafing, “Atlanta’s Best 2010.”
• Live Television Broadcast on Family Nets’ Morning.
• Documentary featured nationally on Channel WGN titled “Tales for the Pet Lovers Heart.” This was a wonderful experience for the entire staff at AVEC, as we spent two days with a wonderful film crew, Blind Squirrels Production. The documentary was sponsored by Purina and Kroger. The film explored Dr. Powell-Johnson's comparative ophthalmic career over the past two decades. The footage included her work at Zoo Atlanta, rescue work with PAWS ATLANTA, and of course her patients at AVEC.
